Billie and Matthew are thought to have been dating since April

Matthew Vorce apologizes for racist social media posts

Matthew Vorce, Billie Eilish's rumored boyfriend, has apologized for using racist and homophobic language in social media posts that were just discovered.

Billie, 19, and Matthew, 29, have been dating since April, according to reports. The rumored couple has been seen together in California, but neither has confirmed that they are dating.

The singer's fans discovered harsh language and insults about Black and homosexual people in tweets and Facebook posts earlier this week. Matthew used the N-word, homophobic slurs, and referred to artist Adele as the "British Miss Piggy" in the posts, which were shared between 2011 and 2012.

Matthew, an actor and writer, apologized for using "offensive" words on Thursday (June 17). "I want to apologize for the things I've said on social media in the past," he wrote. I apologize for using nasty and irresponsible language, and I recognize how insulting those remarks are. That doesn't matter if it was a lyric, a quote, or just me being stupid.

"I'm embarrassed and truly remorseful for using them in any circumstance. It's not how I was brought up, and it's not what I believe in. I shouldn't have used this terminology to begin with, and I won't do so now. I'm very sorry for the pain I've caused. I accept full responsibility for my conduct and will continue to do so."

Billie hasn't responded to Matthew's comments directly.

Matthew's statements have elicited no immediate response from Billie. However, around the same time that Matthew's questionable posts were made public, fans noticed that Billie liked a post on Instagram that read: "This fandom can be so embarrassing at times, like why would you go into someone's comments and say something you literally don't know is true and something you LITERALLY MADE UP, y'all can be so stupid at times. Some of you simply need to learn how to take care of yourself."

She also shared a selfie on Instagram with the caption: "i’m tireeeddddddd." It's not known if Billie was referencing Matthew's comments or recent queerbaiting accusations stemming from her 'Lost Cause' music video.
